Ryanair has filled its head of communications vacancy by promoting communications manager Robin Kiely.
Kiely joined Ryanair last April after a career in journalism. He has replaced Stephen McNamara, who joined the Irish Rugby Football Union.
Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary described the role as “high profile and incredibly overpaid,” adding that the job has been dubbed “the worst job in PR” by some in the media.
As part of its new communications platform, the airline is planning to launch a series of media-relations initiatives in coming months, including a dedicated media website.
The company is looking for a replacement for the vacant communications manager role.
