NEW YORK: Prosek Partners has promoted Brian Schaffer to head of transaction services and investor relations as the firm looks to expand the practice.
As transaction services practice leader, Schaffer will oversee Prosek's investor relations, M&A, and corporate governance services. Prosek has been providing those services for more than ten years, but increased demand from clients drove the agency to formalize the practice and appoint a dedicated leader, Schaffer said. The firm's goal is to add new clients in transaction services while continuing to work with existing accounts on integrated IR and PR programs.
“We like to refer to ourselves as a full-service communications firm with a deal shop inside,” Schaffer said. “We can do the deal and surround that with other corporate communications services.”
Schaffer has worked at Prosek since 2007, most recently as VP of investor relations.
The agency also promoted SVP Thomas Rozycki to MD. Rozycki, who joined the agency in 2005, will assist with new business development and agency operations, as well as consulting on IR and transactions, social media, and crisis communications. He continues to serve as a senior member of Prosek's crisis communications team.
“The lines between IR and PR are fading,” Rozycki said. “I think a lot of shops are recognizing that these holistic services are what clients are looking for. They want integrated campaigns that one team with a singular focus can execute.”
Last month, Genworth Financial consolidated its PR agency roster and appointed Prosek AOR after a competitive review.
