AUSTIN, TX: The Livestrong Foundation has hired Cameron Krier as director of government relations.
She has worked as VP for federal affairs, advocacy, and public policy for the Texas Hospital Association, where she focused on the development and implementation of federal legislative strategy for more than 450 members.
Krier also served as legislative counsel to former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), whom she advised on the Affordable Care Act and other bills.
Lance Armstrong, who just admitted to doping when he won his seven Tour de France titles, founded Livestrong. He has scaled backed his work with the organization in recent years. Armstrong is no longer on the foundation's board.
