NEW YORK: Former Deloitte PR leader Keith Lindenburg has joined Edelman as EVP and technology group head.
Lindenburg started in the role on Monday. He is leading the technology team and helping to expand the practice in its New York office and across the agency's global network. He reports to Ron Guirguis, MD of corporate and public affairs at Edelman.
“There's a great foundation in place already, but the opportunity is to take the technology practice to the next level,” Lindenburg said.
Lindenburg was previously MD of national public relations at Deloitte, where he led external communications, media relations, crisis communications, executive thought leadership, community relations, and CSR since 2005. He left the role last June.
Prior to his tenure at Deloitte, Lindenburg was EVP and GM of Waggener Edstrom Worldwide's Eastern region for four years, where he worked on the firm's MasterCard International account. He was previously EVP and GM of Weber Shandwick's Eastern region and VP of corporate communications at IBM. He also served as GM for the Americas at Brodeur Worldwide for six years.
“This was an opportunity to return to my agency roots,” Lindenburg said. “I loved the independence and entrepreneurial spirit that's here, even at the world's largest PR agency.”
Earlier this month, Edelman promoted Jackie Cooper to global chair of creative strategy, a newly created role at the agency.
