NEW YORK: Edelman has promoted Steve Rubel, EVP of global insights and strategy, to chief content strategist, effective immediately. It is a newly created role.
Rubel, who joined Edelman in 2006, will focus on developing best practices internally and externally at the agency, as well as implementing new programs. He will report to Jackie Cooper, global chair of creative strategy.
During his time at Edelman, Rubel has worked to drive how the firm views content in production, distribution, consumption, and monetization. He also has worked with Edelman's teams across its network and clients such as Adobe, Starbucks, Samsung, and General Electric.
Before Edelman, Rubel held various marketing communications roles at corporate, non-profit, small, and mid-size firms, including CooperKatz.
