CHICAGO: Gibbs & Soell has hired Michael Samec as director of digital strategy, a newly created role at the firm.
Samec will be responsible for developing programs to help the agency and clients better leverage electronic, social, and mobile media. He will also work with Gibbs & Soell's business consulting practice to design and execute programs in analytics, audits, and research.
Samec was previously director of marketing strategy at RKON Technologies. He has also held positions at marketing agency Arc Worldwide, a subsidiary of Leo Burnett; The Lead Frog; and Legal Helpers.
