SYDNEY: Text 100 has promoted Yeow Mei Ling to Asia-Pacific sales and managing director for Greater China. Erica Pompen, regional consultancy director, will add Japan to her portfolio.
Yeow, formerly managing consultant for Text 100 Malaysia, takes over from Pompen, who served as interim Greater China MD, effective immediately.
Yeow established Text 100's Malaysia office in 2006 and has more than 14 years' PR industry experience and a background in corporate finance.
After starting with three employees, she is leaving the office with a string of awards, more than 25 consultants, and a client list spanning fast-moving consumer goods, multimedia, and digital. She will continue to be based in Malaysia but will travel frequently to the agency's offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
Yeow's place in Malaysia will be taken over by Min Chow, former deputy managing consultant of the Kuala Lumpur office.
Pompen's responsibilities will include oversight of Text 100 Japan, where she will work with local managing consultant Satoshi Nakazaki to develop client relationships and increase international collaboration.
The promotions will help Text 100 accelerate its transition into an integrated digital consultancy across the region, said Anne Costello, regional director for Asia for Text 100.
“Our business is geared to reflect, adapt, and get ahead of the evolution,” she said. “I am really proud of the depth of talent we have within the business, keeping us nimble and at the forefront of our industry.”
