Edelman Digital brings on Kennedy, Jones

SAN FRANCISCO: Edelman Digital has hired Sam Kennedy and Rob Jones as VPs in its West Coast practice as it looks to expand its gaming expertise.

SAN FRANCISCO: Edelman Digital has hired Sam Kennedy and Rob Jones as VPs in its West Coast practice as it looks to expand its gaming expertise.

Kennedy will work on the account of video game publisher Activision. He was most recently VP of content and community at digital media company Huddler.com. During his career, he has co-founded video game fan publication Gaming-Age.com, launched gaming social network and content site 1UP.com, and worked for publications GameSpot, EGM, and US PlayStation Magazine.

As VP of digital strategy, Jones will develop strategies for clients in the Western region, with a focus on the gaming and online video industries. He previously oversaw gaming content for multichannel video network Machinima, where he worked with clients such as Microsoft, Square Enix, Activision, and Electronic Arts.
