Porter Novelli appoints Shank as consumer SVP

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has hired Fred Shank, former Edelman VP, to serve as SVP in its New York office's consumer practice.

NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has hired Fred Shank, former Edelman VP, to serve as SVP in its New York office's consumer practice.

Shank, who worked at Edelman for four years, will report to DarlĂ n Monterisi, EVP and MD of Porter's New York office.

At Edelman, Shank worked on accounts including Heineken USA, Starbucks, Kraft, and Citi. Before that, he worked at Whole Foods Market, serving as director of PR and public affairs for the Northeast, North Atlantic and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Earlier this month, Porter hired Jesse Soleil, former CEO of boutique media company Massiverse, as SVP of digital, a newly created role at the firm.
