NEW YORK: LaSalle Investment Management has appointed MSLGroup as its first PR AOR in North America following a competitive review.
LaSalle, a real estate investment manager, selected MSL from a group of 12 agencies. Stefanie Murphy, global corporate communications director at LaSalle, declined to name the other competing firms.
MSL began working with LaSalle last month, helping to raise the firm's profile and brand awareness in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The agency's duties include corporate and financial communications, investor relations, product support, and thought leadership, Murphy said. She declined to disclose the account budget.
Agency teams in Chicago and New York are working on the account. LaSalle is jointly headquartered in Chicago and London and operates in North America, Europe, and Asia.
“This is our final region where LaSalle has appointed a PR agency,” Murphy said.
The company also works with Edelman in Europe, Kurt Becker in Germany, Arex in Japan, and Citigate Dewe Rogerson for the rest of pan-Asia.
Murphy said LaSalle chose MSL for its strong background in financial services, real estate, and asset management.
“They presented a very strong account team. The personality fit was very nice,” she added. “Philosophically, they have the same approach to a sophisticated PR program that LaSalle has.”
“We are excited at the opportunity to support LaSalle Investment Management through a program to enhance its reputation and showcase its thought leadership as one of the world's leading real estate investment managers,” said Brad Wilks, MD of MSL Chicago, in a statement.
Representatives from MSL were not available for further comment.
LaSalle, a subsidiary of Jones Lang LaSalle, has 700 employees in 18 countries and a $47 billion investment portfolio.
Earlier this week, MSL hired Linda Recupero as SVP and New York corporate practice director.
