NEW YORK: Edelman has promoted Cricket Wardein to head of its US digital practice, a newly created role at the agency.

Wardein will lead more than 450 employees in Edelman's US digital operation, with responsibility for growing the business, recruiting and retaining talent, and working to integrate digital within the firm's offerings. She will report to US president and CEO Mark Hass and Kevin King, global practice chair of Edelman Digital.

Prior to joining Edelman, Wardein worked at Yahoo for eight years, leading marketing for its personals and music divisions, managing the overall brand, and serving as CMO of the Australia and New Zealand operations.
