NEW YORK: Weber Shandwick has hired Jane Barandes as GM and co-lead of the firm's New York digital operations.
She will report to Chris Perry, president of digital, and Joy Farber Kolo, deputy GM of Weber's New York office. Barandes will work with Jason Wellcome, EVP and GM of the agency's recently launched Mediaco unit, to scale and diversify its digital offerings.
Barandes recently worked as MD of 360i's New York office. Previously, she was SVP of marketing at Publicis Modem, where she co-managed the General Mills business and worked on digital efforts for Pillsbury.
In its New York office, Weber also recently hired Brooke Tarnoff as editorial director from MTV Networks, where she served as senior digital editor overseeing NextMovie.com. The Interpublic Group firm also brought on former associate creative director Hamilton Tamayo as associate creative director.
