SINGAPORE: Sony Mobile Communications International has called a PR pitch, putting incumbent Burson-Marsteller on alert.
The pitch covers Southeast Asia and Oceania, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
The appointed agency will be tasked with developing an integrated public relations strategy, providing strategic counsel, and engaging traditional and social media relations to create media and consumer awareness for Sony Mobile's key products. These include smartphones, tablets, and accessories across consumer and professional business groups in Singapore.
It will also take on the role of regional liaison for APAC and Oceania, with responsibilities including market coordination, information dissemination, and liaison with the global team.
The nine-month contract also comes with an extension option, based on a mutual agreement between the agency and Sony. Burson has been with the brand since 2007.
The pitch will take place in Singapore, and agencies intending to submit a bid to pitch for this contract must register their interest by April 19.
