NEW YORK: The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization has hired Wyatt Brand to work with One Story Productions on a global awareness-building campaign for the International Fund for Cultural Diversity.

The goal of the fund is to promote sustainable development and poverty reduction in developing and least-developed countries. It supports projects that encourage cultural growth.

To date, the fund has provided more than $3.9 million for 61 projects in 40 developing countries.

Earlier this year, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees canceled its search for a firm for global outreach due to weak pitches.
