Instagram is one of the largest, fastest-growing photo-sharing sites with more than 90 million active monthly users and 40 million photos shared a day. That being said, it's no wonder brands are taking advantage of the site's reach.
However, there are many other photo-sharing sites to take advantage of. Here are three more to consider:
This is a mobile site that enables you to snap a photo and then send it to one or more people in your social community. The photo appears for one to 10 seconds and then it's gone. From a marketing perspective, this could be used to send messages about restaurants, retail shops, or even real estate. There are endless possibilities for many industries, and the best part is that there are millions of people already using it.
This is Microsoft's attempt to compete with Google+, Facebook, and Pinterest. So.cl is a picture-dominated site, and at first glance looks like Pinterest or Instagram, but it has more depth. You can follow people by industry and see what they are posting before you delve in. This site is also free and has the potential to pick up momentum. This is certainly one to put on your radar.
This new site is a combination of Pinterest and Instagram. You sign in using your Instagram account and it takes your Instagram photos and organizes them in Pinterest-like boards. It's a good place for photos that you would normally just share on Instagram because it expands your reach.
Take time out to explore these three sites if you don't already know about them. Using images is an effective way to share your brand's message and showcase the personality behind the business.
