MONTVALE, NJ: Paint company Benjamin Moore has appointed Kimberlee Bradshaw as director of corporate communications. She started in the role on Monday.
Bradshaw previously served as senior manager of corporate communications at BET for more than three years. She has succeeded Eileen McComb, who had worked at the company for more than 19 years.
As corporate communications director, Bradshaw will lead all PR efforts for the company.
Before BET, Bradshaw worked at various PR agencies, including Weber Shandwick, CJP Communications, Hill & Knowlton, and Edelman.
In April, Benjamin Moore began accepting entries for its sixth-annual Hue Awards, which recognize exceptional use of color in architecture and interior design. Submissions will be accepted through July 12.
The company's PR AOR is Veeder + Perman. Last year, the brand selected Mullen as its advertising agency, shifting the account from former ad AOR Cramer-Krasselt.
Benjamin Moore, a subsidiary of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, was founded in 1883 in Brooklyn. It offers more than 3,500 shades of paint.
Last summer, Buffet fired Benjamin Moore CEO Denis Abrams “based on a differing view about distribution channels and brand strategy." The paint manufacturer appointed Robert Merritt as CEO and president, succeeding Abrams, on June 29, 2012.
