PARIS: Pascal Barollier has exited his role as VP of external and scientific communications at Sanofi SA's Pasteur vaccine division to lead communications and media relations at GAVI Alliance.
GAVI, a public-private partnership, works to increase access to immunization in developing countries. It is funded by entities such as the US government, the European Commission, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In an email to reporters, Barollier asked that inquiries about the business be directed to Alain Bernal, VP of communications at Sanofi Pasteur. Neither Barollier nor Bernal could be immediately reached for comment.
In April, Sanofi Pasteur awarded the accounts for its US flu and meningitis businesses to W2O Group and Chandler Chicco's Biosector 2 unit. The work is collectively worth $4 million.
