TORONTO: Marketwired has hired Kurt Heinemann as its first CMO.
Heinemann was previously CMO at Monetate, a cloud-based browser technology company. Before that, he was CMO at security software provider Perimeter eSecurity. He has also served as president of the online division of Time Warner's Synapse Group, GM and CMO at Walker Digital, and VP of marketing at Priceline.
Last month, Marketwired promoted COO Jim Delaney to CEO weeks after it rebranded from Marketwire. The company also brought on Stu Ogawa, former VP of business intelligence at Yahoo, as global EVP of product and technology to oversee technology and product development.
