LONDON: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired an ad director as it launches its own video production arm.
The offering will be called AudioVisual Content + Production and will be led by H+K staffer James Alexander. Toby Leslie has been hired as a senior creative producer.
Leslie, who was most recently freelancing as a scriptwriter for Powder Blue films, previously directed TV ads for brands including Pizza Hut and The Guardian.
The pair will work with H+K clients and alongside existing staff and freelancers where required, with expansion of the division likely in the longer term.
It will focus initially on consumer work but is likely to expand beyond this, with corporate work one particular area of interest.
“We have worked with audiovisual content for some time, particularly around the Olympics,” said group MD Ben Curson. “Instead of working with other agencies, we wanted to bring that capability in-house.”This story originally appeared on the website of PRWeek UK, the sister publication of PRWeek at Haymarket Media.
