LOS ANGELES: Kitchen appliance manufacturer Thermador has hired Finn Partners as its AOR as it seeks to raise brand awareness.
Thermador, which is a part of BSH Home Appliances, did not issue an RFP. It chose Finn Partners because the agency works on the holding company's Bosch Home Appliances business and has shown “creativity and strategic thinking,” said Lore McKenna, PR manager for BSH Home Appliances.
Thermador had worked with DGWB Advertising and Communications before bringing on Finn Partners at the beginning of last month, McKenna said.
Representatives from DGWB were not immediately available for comment.
Finn Partners will work to raise brand awareness through trade media outreach, explained McKenna. She added that 2013 is the “year of the designer,” so the firm will reach out to that group of professionals before turning its focus to builders next year.
McKenna explained that “there is always an element of consumer outreach” when engaging major publications.
The firm, which is handling the account from its Los Angeles office, will also work on social media efforts and though leadership. Brenda Lynch, senior partner at Finn Partners, is leading the account, supported by a team of five staffers.
McKenna declined to disclose budget information for the business.
BSH parent company BSH Bosch und Siemens reported a 1.5% year-over-year increase in consolidated revenue in 2012 to $12.7 billion. The company also saw a net profit increase of 25% last year to $606 million, year-over-year.
