NAIROBI, KENYA: Burson-Marsteller has launched a partnership in Kenya called Engage Burson-Marsteller.

NAIROBI, KENYA: Burson-Marsteller has launched a partnership in Kenya called Engage Burson-Marsteller.

Burson will have the option to acquire a minority equity stake in the business. Desiree Gomes, managing partner of Engage Burson-Marsteller, will lead the partnership. The WPP Group-owned agency will continue to develop similar partnerships in other African markets over the coming years, it said in a statement.

In 2011, Burson acquired a majority stake in South African agency Arcay Communications, which later rebranded as Arcay Burson-Marsteller. Arcay has a network of 38 affiliates in 52 African countries.
