WASHINGTON: FTI Consulting has hired Elizabeth Alexander, former aide and press secretary to Vice President Joe Biden, as MD in its strategic communications unit.
Alexander will be based in Washington DC and counsel clients on legislative, regulatory, and investigative issues.
Most recently, Alexander was a federal prosecutor for the Department of Justice.
Alexander began working for Biden in 2006 when he was the senior senator from Delaware. During her five-year tenure, she served as press secretary and communications director to then-Sen. Biden. She worked for the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee as press secretary and its primary spokesperson following the 2008 presidential election.
Alexander has also served as press secretary for the United Nations Foundation, press secretary for former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe, communications director for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and deputy press secretary for Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY).
