LONDON: Weber Shandwick plans to join Media Trust to support the communications efforts of national charities in the UK.
It is the second PR agency to become part of the trust. Weber joins other high-profile members such as the BBC, Channel 4, Google, and Guardian Media Group. Just:: Health PR is also a member of the Media Trust.
The Media Trust works with the press to empower charities and communities to have a voice and be heard within the media. Weber will support projects benefitting charities and communities across the UK.
“Like Media Trust, we passionately believe in the power of media and communications to change lives, to amplify voices, and drive social change,” said Weber Shandwick UK and EMEA chief executive Colin Byrne. “CSR is deeply rooted within our global culture, and this new partnership with Media Trust adds a valuable contribution to our existing CSR work.”
Media Trust chief executive Caroline Diehl said that “this is an exciting time for Media Trust.”
“Our media industry corporate members underpin all our work and, in partnership with Weber Shandwick and its talented staff, we can extend the reach of charities and communities across the UK and ensure their stories are heard,” she said.
