NEW YORK: USA Network has appointed two VPs in its communications department.

The network hired Tracy St. Pierre as VP of West Coast communications. Based in Los Angeles, she will oversee USA Network's press team on the West Coast, including the staffers who handle media relations for shows Psych, Summer Camp, Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness, and Covert Affairs. She will also spearhead the launch of comedy series Playing House and manage talent relations. St. Pierre will report to SVP of communications Hilary Smith.

St. Pierre was most recently senior director at NBC Entertainment Publicity. During her 10 years at the network, she led communications for NBC's late-night programs as well as online and social media efforts. Before joining NBC, she was a publicist at Penner PR, focusing on film and personal publicity.

USA Network promoted Emily Spitale to VP of communications, also reporting to Smith. Spitale will continue to be based in New York and will lead communications for the programs Modern Family, which will arrive on the network this fall, Sirens, Graceland, White Collar, Burn Notice, and Partners in Crime. She will also oversee the network's public service program, Characters Unite, and continue to work on talent relations and PR strategy.

Prior to joining USA Network, Spitale was director of publicity for A&E and BIO at A&E Networks. She has also served as a publicist at TV communications agency FerenComm.
