ST. LOUIS: FleishmanHillard has appointed former CVS Caremark chairman Edwin Crawford to its international advisory board.
In 1998, Crawford led the restructuring of physician practice management company Med Partners into Caremark Rx. As chief executive of Caremark Rx, he also orchestrated the acquisition of AdvancePCS, making Caremark the second-largest pharmaceutical benefit management company in the world. Following Caremark's merger with CVS in 2007, Crawford served as chairman of the board of directors of the combined company.
Crawford began his career as a CPA at Arthur Young & Co. and has also held roles at Magellan Health Services, Charter Medical, and Mulberry Street Investment.
Fleishman's international advisory board is comprised of government and business leaders who provide counsel to agency clients. The Omnicom Group agency has recently named former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and former New York Times Company president and CEO Janet Robinson to the board.
