SAN FRANCISCO: W2O Group has promoted Dave Mihalovic to COO from head of digital.
Mihalovic, who joined the agency from Rosetta in February 2012, has built a digital team of 100 staffers at W2O.
He will focus on systems well-being, from automating workflow to growing new concepts such as storytelling to replace the traditional advertising model, the firm said in a statement.
Mihalovic said in a statement that he will collaborate with CTO John Cunningham, creative chief Mike Hartman, digital MD Jim Eustace, and head of media and engagement Paul Dyer in his new role.
W2O acquired Austin, TX-based digital agency VM Foundry last December and combined it with its own multi-office digital practice and local office in Austin to create W2O Digital. Mihalovic was named a member of its leadership team.
W2O also named former Burson-Marsteller China CEO and market leader Chris Deri as president of its WCG agency last month. It hired Annalise Coady, former interim president of FleishmanHillard-owned High Road Communications, and former Dell chief blogger Lionel Menchaca, as well, in June.
