LONDON: Online gaming company 888 Holdings has handed its financial PR account to Hudson Sandler as the fallout from the demise of M:Communications continues.
Hudson Sandler is set to take over as the company's retained financial and corporate communications adviser following a competitive pitch.
888 Holdings is understood to have retained M:Communications since 2006. It joined the London Stock Exchange in 2005.
The gaming firm is one of a host of M: clients to find a new agency partner after it was confirmed that M: is set to wind-up by the end of the summer.
“Following the unfortunate departure of our highly valued team from M:Communications, we have appointed Hudson Sandler, which demonstrated a good understanding of our business and has the capabilities to support our development internationally,” said Brian Mattingley, chief executive of 888.
The Hudson Sandler team will be comprised of CEO Andrew Hayes, chairman Michael Sandler, associate director Kate Hoare, account director Alex Brennan, and Adam Friedman in the US.
Hayes said it was an “important time for the company and the online gaming industry,” adding that 888 is “well-placed to continue its development in the UK and internationally.”
Founded in 1997, the firm targets both consumers and b-to-b clients and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index with a market capitalization of about £550 million, or about $845.9 million.
