LONDON: The Manchester United pairing of Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville has hired Tangerine PR to launch the hospitality management company, GG Hospitality.
The footballers will launch two venues initially: Café Football in Westfield Stratford in London and Hotel Football next to Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium.
The duo appointed Manchester-based Tangerine following initial strategy work. It will implement a targeted PR and social media launch.
The focus will be on raising awareness of the company among key stakeholders in the leisure and hospitality sectors.
Also leading the new venture will be GG Hospitality MD Stuart Procter.
Tangerine's consumer team will also work with GG Hospitality to launch its portfolio of businesses to consumers, delivering fully integrated strategic and creative campaigns, using traditional PR channels and key social media platforms.
The first business to be launched by GG Hospitality will be Café Football in November 2013 in Westfield Stratford, London. This will be followed by the launch of Hotel Football in 2014, which is located on the doorstep of Old Trafford.
“Our aim is to help the team at GG Hospitality build its brands and communicate its vision and values to both stakeholders and consumers in an engaging and creative way,” said Mary Harding, MD of Tangerine PR's consumer team.
Neville retired from football in 2011 while Giggs will spend the coming season as player/coach for Manchester United.
