WPP's Kantar acquires Benenson Strategy Group

FAIRFIELD, CT: WPP Group-owned data investment management company Kantar has acquired research and consulting firm The Benenson Strategy Group.

FAIRFIELD, CT: WPP Group-owned data investment management company Kantar has acquired research and consulting firm The Benenson Strategy Group.

CEO Joel Benenson and COO Carl Rossow will continue to lead Benenson Strategy Group, along with principals Peter Brodnitz, Daniel Franklin, Mitch Markel, and Amy Levin.

Founded in 2000, Benenson Strategy Group conducted research and polling for President Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns and has advised 11 prime ministers and presidents globally. Its clients include AARP, Campbell's Soup, NFL, and Pfizer.

The firm reported revenue of $15.6 million for the fiscal year ending June 30. It is based in New York with offices in Washington DC, Los Angeles, and Denver. Benenson Strategy Group has about 50 employees.

WPP's data investment management business, which includes Kantar, has revenue of $4.5 billion.
