Fleishman promotes Wuschke to Boston GM

FleishmanHillard named the seven-year agency veteran to succeed Jason Glashow in the role after Glashow left for client Biogen Idec.

BOSTON: FleishmanHillard has promoted Danielle Wuschke, SVP and partner, to serve as GM of its Boston office, succeeding Jason Glashow.

Wuschke, who has been at Fleishman for the last seven years, is reporting to Robert Dowling, president of the agency's US Eastern region. She started in the role last month.

Glashow, who had served as GM for Fleishman Boston since 2007, has joined the corporate communications team at client Biogen Idec. The agency will continue to work with Glashow in his new role.

Wuschke's main responsibilities include “driving the strategic vision” of the office, handling its daily operations and financial performance, and managing staffers. She added that she will also work directly with senior employees to mentor junior team members.

In addition to reinforcing the office's culture, Wuschke will work to build the firm's presence in Boston and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.

“Fleishman Boston's office is really unique because we can be agile like a boutique, but at the same time we have this amazing strength of the broader Fleishman network behind us,” Wuschke explained.

The Boston office has 30 staffers, she added.

Before Fleishman, Wuschke worked at consulting firm Keane, where she served as global PR and analyst relations manager.

Last month, Fleishman was named global issues AOR for chemicals, pharma, and healthcare giant Bayer. This summer, the agency was also selected as the strategic communications partner for General Motors' Cadillac brand, with the goal of engaging consumers in the fashion, luxury, and technology spaces.
