NEW YORK: HL Group has appointed Ryan Jordan as its first creative director, leading the newly launched experiential marketing division, HL: Creative.
He previously worked as creative director at Studio HS.
After starting in the role earlier this month, Jordan is reporting to founding partners Hamilton South and Lynn Tesoro, as well as partner Guillermo Zalamea, who oversees the firm's West Coast operations.
“My job is to develop and deliver thought leadership and creative solutions that strengthen our clients' market distinction and leadership position. I'll be developing creative work and making sure we're delivering work to the highest caliber,” explained Jordan.
He will also contribute to the culture of the firm and help to grow HL: Creative “in terms of innovation and experience,” he added.
With a core team of five staffers working in HL: Creative, along with a freelance production team of 10 people in New York and Los Angeles, the division works on press events, experiential marketing activities, product launches, online videos, and consumer and social media activations.
Prior to joining HL Group, Jordan served as creative director at Studio HS for two and a half years. Before that, he worked at Van Wyck & Van Wyck for less than a year, serving as senior director of brand experience.
He also spent more than two years at Harrison & Shriftman, where he held the role of creative director.
Throughout his career, Jordan has worked with brands such as Target, Sony's PlayStation, Grey Goose, PepsiCo, and Ford.
HL Group's clients include David Yurman, Hilton Worldwide Luxury Brands, Stella Artois, Mattel's Barbie, Amazon Fashion, and Toms.
