BURBANK, CA: FremantleMedia North America has named Christine Shaw SVP of communications and marketing.
Shaw will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the company's corporate PR, marketing, and publicity. She will lead communications efforts for FremantleMedia's TV properties including American Idol, The X Factor, America's Got Talent, The Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal, and Family Feud. Shaw will report to COO Lee Rierson.
Shaw was previously VP of communications at BBC Worldwide, where she oversaw corporate communications, publicity, and marketing strategies for the production arm, digital entertainment, and games businesses. Prior to that, Shaw worked at Murphy O'Brien Public Relations with clients such as Arnie Morton's, The Steakhouse, See's Candies, and Marie Callenders. She also worked in the TV, digital, and integrated marketing division at Rogers & Cowan.
