BERLIN: Clarity PR is expanding its European presence with a Berlin office that will be led by former journalist Linsey Fryatt.
The tech- and start-up-focused agency said the German capital is a hotbed of tech startups with an active VC community providing plenty of potential business opportunities.
Fryatt, a former editor at VentureVillage and Stuff.tv, will lead the office as MD.
Commenting on the launch, Fryatt said, “Berlin's a great place to be right now. While the benefits of London and New York might be obvious, Berlin offers a unique environment of creativity and collaboration.”
“For me, one of the most rewarding parts of VentureVillage was meeting these startups at the beginning of their journey,” Fryatt said. “I know that by joining Clarity, I'll be able to work even more closely with some of the most awesome people and brands in Europe."
The agency also pointed to the appetite of Berlin-based startups for senior PR experts, which are lacking in the region, according to its research.
Former Channel 4 news technology correspondent Benjamin Cohen joined the agency as a London-based executive director in May, strengthening its senior ranks.
“There's a massive surge of excitement in Berlin,” said Clarity PR CEO Sami McCabe. “We're seeing lots of great young companies from all of Europe setting up here, and we think we can offer the support they need to grow their brands in the smartest way possible.”
The venture will launch with a number of yet-to-be-announced clients; it follows hot on the heels of Clarity PR's New York office, which opened earlier this year.
