Emanate research has found that “Gen Duo” couples are increasingly making joint decisions about travel and vacation, food and cooking, and parenting and childcare. The agency discovered that Generation X and Millennial partners more often feel they have about half of the responsibility for large and small household purchasing decisions.

Source: Between May and June, Emanate held three online focus groups with Gen Duo couples (partners who share decision-making) to garner qualitative insights on travel, parenting, and shopping decision-making. This was followed by a quantitative research survey with participants who are in a relationship.
