NEW YORK: The Diversity Distinction in PR Awards were announced this evening at the Council of PR Firms' annual dinner in New York City.
Weber Shandwick took home top honors in the Best PR Firm Diversity Initiative category. Best Community Initiative – PR Firm went to Edelman for its work with the Posse Scholar Program. The BrandLab was recognized as the Best Community Initiative – In-House Team for its work to bring the industry together to boost the supply chain of young talent looking to enter the marketing and PR industries. Elise Mitchell was named Diversity Champion.
The Diversity Distinction in PR Awards, a joint effort presented by the Council and PRWeek for the past three years, were judged by an expert panel of leading in-house and agency communicators in late July.
