LONDON: Former FT Group global communications chief Emma Gilpin-Jacobs will assume the role of communications director for UK deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg on December 2.
The Liberal Democrats' head of comms Tim Snowball will take a new role as director of political operations and general election planning manager.
Gilpin-Jacobs will be based in Clegg's London office and will lead the Liberal Democrats' communications team in government.
She stepped down from the Financial Times last July after working at the Pearson-owned publishing group for nearly seven years. Darcy Keller, who has held a number of positions at the FT since 2007, replaced Gilpin-Jacobs.
