H+K streamlines APAC structure under Lines

SINGAPORE: Hill+Knowlton Strategies is unifying its 16 operations in Asia-Pacific into a regional structure with Vivian Lines as chairman.

Lines, who is based in Singapore, will transition from his global practice head position to devote attention to APAC, but will retain his client services co-lead role.

The global practice head post will be filled on a rotating basis annually from the pool of H+K global practice leaders, beginning in 2014 with Joe Eyer, who is also the firm's global public affairs practice co-head.

Leaders within the region will report to Lines. They are John Morgan, president and CEO of Asia; Ye Yu and Ivy Soonthornsima, co-presidents of China; Paul Plowman, CEO of Australia; Radhika Shapoorjee, president of South Asia; and Sara Gourlay, COO of India.

“This structure sets us up for long-term success in a way that makes sense for our regional leaders, talent, and clients,” said Jack Martin, global chairman and CEO of H+K. “[Lines'] particular knowledge of the APAC region, having been its president and COO from 2005 to 2011, gives me even more confidence that with him at the helm, we will see continued growth and excellent client service from our offices in this region.”
