Hill+Knowlton Strategies has brought in Chameleon PR MD Steve Loynes to head its technology practice.

LONDON: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has brought in Chameleon PR MD Steve Loynes to head its technology practice.

Loynes will start as MD for tech in January, replacing Grant Currie, who is heading to Porter Novelli.

Loynes spent five years at Chameleon. In 2011, he was awarded the UK Public Relations Consultants Association Agency Head of the Year prize.

Previously, he was EMEA PR director for Cambridge Technology Partners and Novell. Loynes has also worked at agencies including Edelman and Text 100, working with clients including BT, Citrix, Hitachi, Microsoft, Motorola, and Orange.

It is understood that following the arrival of Tom Berry at Chameleon as CEO, there will be no direct replacement for the MD role.
