UNICEF is most followed int'l group on Twitter

All leading international organizations now have a Twitter account, and half of their leaders have active personal accounts, according to "Twitplomacy," an analysis by Burson-Marsteller on the way international groups use the platform.

LONDON: All leading international organizations now have a Twitter account, and half of their leaders have active personal accounts, according to “Twitplomacy,” an analysis by Burson-Marsteller on the way international groups use the platform.

It found that the United Nations Children's Fund (@UNICEF) is the most followed international body. UNICEF and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (@CERN) are the most effective tweeting organizations because their tweets are retweeted on average more than 100 times.
