FORT LAUDERDALE, FL: Enterprise storage software company DataCore Software has selected Horn as its AOR for North America following a review.
After going through a list of 10 agencies, the company selected Horn because of its understanding of its business, experience working with infrastructure and enterprise accounts, out-of-the-box thinking, and a passionate team, said George Teixeira, president and CEO of DataCore.
He added that he liked how the Horn team embraced various forms of communications and was able to push DataCore outside its normal comfort zone into new areas of thinking.
Before bringing on Horn, DataCore worked with Davies Murphy Group on projects and announcements.
Horn, which began working on the account last month, is tasked with “refreshing” DataCore's messaging and raising awareness of its brand, explained Teixeira. He said the company has not pushed its story in the market in the last 15 years, so it wants to become top of mind and known as a game-changer in the storage industry.
Todd Cadley, MD at Horn and lead on the account, said the firm will handle media and analyst relations, thought-leadership efforts, and digital support, such as graphic design and content creation.
The agency, with a team of four staffers in its New York and San Francisco offices on the account, will also advise on social media strategy for the brand.
One of Horn's objectives is to “elevate the story [DataCore has] been telling so they can not only be seen as leader in technology but use it as a vehicle to recruit and attract engineers and those folks who sit at the top of the list as it relates to data center infrastructure companies,” Cadley added.
The initial contract is for one year. Budget information was not disclosed.
