H+K Strategies' Withington takes group MD role

Hill+Knowlton Strategies UK has expanded the responsibilities of Ian Withington to group MD, adding to his responsibilities as MD of the agency's food and drink team.

LONDON: Hill+Knowlton Strategies UK has expanded the responsibilities of Ian Withington to group MD, adding to his responsibilities as MD of the agency's food and drink team.

The firm also added retail and leisure to his role. The changes are effective immediately.

As part of a restructuring of the group, previous retail and leisure MD Flic Howard Allen will leave the agency to become head of external affairs at Associated British Foods in January.

“This is a natural extension for me,” said Withington, who has led the agency's TUI account for the past year. “I am looking forward to shaping the retail and leisure team over the coming months and years.”
