Text 100 mobilizes global staff for relief effort

The agency raised money for disaster relief after Typhoon Haiyan swept through the Philippines.

With more than 500 staff in 45 offices around the world, Text 100 gives back throughout the entire year and during times of tragedy or natural disaster.  As a global initiative, the agency raised money for disaster relief after Typhoon Haiyan swept through the Philippines. Text 100 matched employee donations, totaling more than $2,000.

The four North America offices– New York City, Boston, Rochester, and San Francisco – also make it a point to organize service days throughout the year and especially around the holidays.

The New York office is volunteering at Room to Grow, an organization that helps babies born into poverty throughout their first three years of development. In December, about 20 Text 100 NYC employees will help organize and prepare their inventory of infant and toddler clothing, books, toys, and equipment.

The San Francisco office is adopting a family and buying holiday gifts through Compass Family Services, a nonprofit that helps homeless families and those at imminent risk for homelessness. The organization serves more than 3,500 parents and children each year and helps them to achieve housing stability, family well-being, and self-sufficiency.

About 20 employees from the Rochester office are collecting and donating toys and gifts to the Pirate Toy Fund, a local nonprofit that strives to provide a toy to every child in need, giving  them hope and happiness. The nonprofit has donated more than 220,000 toys to children who are facing medical illness, special needs, domestic violence, and financial hardships.
