Imre has created a campaign called “Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays” as part of its charitable efforts this holiday season.
Imre created a Facebook app that will allow users to vote for four charities with which the agency has partnered. The charities are in cities where Imre has offices and include the Maryland SPCA (Baltimore), Military Missions in Action (MMIA), the York Street Project (New York), and the Los Angeles Conservatory (Los Angeles).
The four charities will compete for the most votes for a chance to win various donations. Visitors are encouraged to vote once per a day from December 17 to 25 and can share their votes through the app. Each vote allows the visitor to choose a piece of candy to decorate a virtual gingerbread house. The house that features the most candy will win a $4,000 donation from Imre. Second place will receive $3,000, third place will receive $2,000, and fourth place will receive $1,000. In addition to the app, Imre once again held “Penny Wars” in its Baltimore office in November to support the Maryland Food Bank. The firm split into three teams, and each team was tasked with filling empty water cooler jugs with change and bills. The four-week contest raised nearly $900, and Imre will donate a full $1,000 to the Food Bank.
Lastly, Imre is holding a winter accessory drive for students of Cherry Hill Elementary and Middle School in Baltimore. Employees are bringing in scarves, gloves, hats, and socks and filling up boxes to be delivered to students before the holidays.
