NEW YORK: CA Technologies has appointed TMX Group's Ronald Alepian as SVP and CCO, effective January 6.
Alepian will be based in New York and report to EVP and CMO Lauren Flaherty, who joined CA Technologies last August. He will be responsible for media relations, industry analyst relations, government affairs, CSR, and employee and executive communications, with a focus on using new communications tools and tracking in the company's corporate comms efforts.
With his appointment, the industry analyst relations team and VP Debra Cattani will join Alepian's organization.
Alepian will succeed Bill Hughes, who left to become CCO of Pitney Bowes last July. CA Technologies corporate communications SVP Dan Kaferle will retire at the end of the year.
“My main objective is to make sure there is a strong awareness among a broad array of customers worldwide, and credibility for the company and its newer offerings in the SAS and cloud space,” Alepian said. “To do that, we need to introduce the company to those customers and demonstrate how we can help them drive their business.”
Alepian previously led communications and marketing at TMX Group, which operates a number of exchanges and marketplaces globally including the Toronto Stock Exchange. He has also held roles at Nortel, Bell Canada, and Burson-Marsteller affiliate National PR.
Alepian declined to disclose information about his replacement at TMX.
