Drinks giant Pernod Ricard UK has appointed Atomic PR to lead consumer and digital PR for the Jacob's Creek, Campo Viejo, and Graffigna wine brands following a pitch.

LONDON: Drinks giant Pernod Ricard UK has appointed Atomic PR to lead consumer and digital PR for the Jacob's Creek, Campo Viejo, and Graffigna wine brands following a pitch.

It hired the London-based agency to review the media and social presence of each brand and create campaigns to help them move into new “lifestyle” sectors.

Their responsibilities include PR activity for Jacob's Creek's sponsorship of the Wimbledon Championships and Campo Viejo's Spanish-inspired festival, Streets of Spain.

“We chose Atomic due to its analytical approach to PR and its creative ideas, which we believe will take our iconic wine brands into a new lifestyle arena,” said Sarah Bentley, communications manager at Pernod Ricard UK.

Agency parent company Huntsworth said last week that it will rebrand subsidiary agency Atomic as part of Grayling starting at the beginning of next year. It acquired the firm in early 2011. Last week, Grayling also appointed former MSLGroup SVP Peter Harris as its US CEO.
