LONDON: BAE Systems has hired Claire Divver as group communications director, reporting to CEO Ian King.
She will join the group early in the New Year and will be a member of the BAE Systems executive committee.
Divver was formerly GM of group corporate affairs for Xstrata, where she was responsible for the global communications of the multinational mining company.
She joined Xstrata in 2004 and was a board member of Xstrata Nickel, one of its five global commodity business units.
“[Divver] is an outstanding candidate, with extensive international experience, and will make a great contribution to our business,” King said.
She replaced Charlotte Lambkin, who left BAE Systems this July to take on the post of corporate relations director at drinks manufacturer Diageo, replacing veteran communications head Ian Wright.
