By now, you have probably read something about the Madison Avenue Project, which recently completed a study of the advertising industry and found that racial discrimination is 38% worse in the advertising industry than in the overall U.S. labor market.
Debra Colbert, of Colbert Communications, is working with the Project, and told PRWeek that it is strictly focused on the advertising industry and will not target PR.
Project leader Cyrus Mehri, a lawyer at Mehri & Skalet who specializes in racial discrimination lawsuits, was in New York this week to present the findings and work with the NAACP and ad agencies on a plan of action.
