SAN FRANCISCO: Digg has selected Access Communications as its AOR following a competitive bid, according to industry sources.
The work is expected to include day-to-day communications, thought leadership and visibility for Digg's founders, analyst relations, and corporate and industry communications, according to one source close to the review.
"It's basically building the reputation for the Digg brand," the source noted.
Both Digg and Access declined to comment.
The social news aggregator narrowed its search to four firms of varying types and sizes before making a decision, PRWeek previously reported.
Digg's former AOR, at Karbo/Fonkalsrud Communications, worked with company for four years before the account changed hands last month, said Julie Karbo, partner at K/F. She declined to say whether the agency participated in the bid.
