California waste management board issues RFPs

SACRAMENTO: The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) issued two RFPs on February 24. One RFP, which focuses on an outreach and education campaign that will promote tire-derived products, has a $1.2 million budget. It is part of CIWMB's "Green Roads" campaign. The other RFP focuses on outreach and a campaign to promote sustainable tire practices as part of an ongoing effort to educate consumers in California about purchasing longer-life tires. It has a $2.4 million budget. Both RFPs have March 27 deadlines.
