“They are more than just about payment processing, which is part of the PR mandate for 2009,” said Julie Rusciolleli, Maverick president. “We want to help them become advocates and thought leaders for small business retailers.”
Moneris will aim to help businesses with such things as inventory control, customer relationship management, and loyalty programs. Rusciolleli said they will use social media to reach small businesses across the country, including through a dedicated Web site, blogs, and possibly Facebook.
Zwilling J.A. Henckels, a German-based manufacturer of premium cutlery and cookware products, has also hired Maverick Public Relations. Maverick will help promote the company's high-end cookware lines, Demeyere and artisan brand, Staub. “It is really about putting them on the map with Demeyere and Staub,” said Rusciolelli.
“Henckels is an incredible brand, but the other lines need a major push.” PR efforts will include trade shows and a media loaner program.
Bullfrog & Baum remains the US AOR for Henckels.
